“Honky Tonkin' in the Hill Country” by Paige Plaisance

Raised on a farm near the Mississippi River in Louisiana, Paige Plaisance honed her piano skills and songwriting before moving to Austin where she now resides and performs regularly. She coins the term 'Swampytonkin'' to describe her music, which merges Texas honky-tonk with classic country and blues storytelling. Backed by her band The Yeah You Right Boys, Plaisance has earned Top 20 Americana Radio success with albums including Louisiana Lonely (2024) and Swampwater (2026), recorded at Austin's Finishing School and produced by Jonathan Tyler. Known for her commanding vocals and signature piano playing, she has performed alongside artists like Nikki Lane and Reckless Kelly at venues across the Texas music scene.
