Next of Kin

Next of Kin is an alt-country and Americana trio based in Austin, TX, composed of Lili Hickman, Caelin (Tralongo), and Madison Baker. The group came together in March 2023 when Hickman, known for her work with pop outfit Flora and Fawna, enlisted Caelin and Baker for backing vocals on a song; the chemistry of their three distinct voices was immediately undeniable and a full band was born. All three members had deep roots in the Austin music scene before joining forces: Hickman was born and raised in Austin into a musical family, Baker relocated to Austin from Canton, TX, and Caelin was drawn to Austin through the encouragement of a fan. Their sound is built on grit, heart, and effortlessly blended three-part harmonies, and the band has earned praise from KUTX and the Austin Chronicle, performed at Austin City Limits Festival, and released music including the singles 'Jekyll and Hyde' and 'Homemaker'.
