“Chill Country” by Michael Kelton

After spending 15 years as a drummer for Texas country artists including Zane Williams, Hayes Carll, Pat Green, and others, Michael Kelton transitioned to performing his own well-crafted originals. Raised by a musical family in Austin with his father Noel a founding member of Johnny Dee & the Rocket 88's, Kelton's musical path came naturally. His roots-driven sound blends Americana, folk, and country, characterized by heartfelt storytelling and soulful vocals. In 2021, he earned songwriting credits on Pat Green's album, and has since released singles including Among the Stars, Don't Look Back, You Can't Hurt Me Now, Chill Country, Hold Me Like the Highway, Take Me Back, Love a Woman, Around the Bend, and You throughout 2022-2026.
