About
Bruvvy formed in 2019 when former high school bandmates Liz Varnum (lead vocals, guitar) and Paula Bunich (bass) reconnected for a jam session, later joined by drummer Juan Cabrera and guitarist Nelson Gonzalez. The Miami-born band has since relocated to Los Angeles and built a reputation for their loud, unapologetic rock sound inspired by grunge and punk influences like Nirvana and The Go-Go's. Though primarily electric, they occasionally experiment with acoustic renditions, as demonstrated by their performance of Concealer on Chill Country Sessions. Recent releases include 2024 singles Concealer and Dredd Hot, followed by 2026 singles including Little Shiva, Devour, and Holiday.
